Looking for leads in Burlington robbery

The following is a press release from the Burlington Police Department:

On April 14, 2010 at approximately 11:00 a.m., the Burlington Police Department responded to a report of a bank robbery at Midwest One Bank, 323 Jeffereson Street, Burlington, Iowa.

The suspect was described black male, 5'7" to 5'10", average build wearing a hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head and his face covered with a white piece of cloth.

The suspect displayed a weapon to the tellers and demanded money.

The suspect then fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money westbound on Jeffereson Street.

Information provided to investigators led us to believe the suspect possibly got into a white van and fled the area.

Photos of a suspicious vehicle leaving the area are attached to this release along with video from inside of the bank.

The Burlington Police Department is working the investigation with the assistance of the Des Moines County Sheriff's Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
