Lewis County business owner aids bus crash victims

Emergency crews at crash site on Tuesday.

Time was a crucial element of Tuesday's rescue effort.

Tim Bliven of Bliven's Performance and Auto Repair was one of the first people on the scene.

He received a phone call about the rollover from his son who was in a second bus behind the first one.

Bliven says that the crash scene was a difficult one to see.

"I seen a lot of kids that were helping out other kids. A lot of the older kids were doing a real good job of getting the people out and it was just a mess. I mean you could only imagine what was going on. It's just something you don't want to see ever," Bliven explained.

Bliven and a co-worker also helped rescue a six-year-old girl trapped underneath the bus.
