Let the Western Elves do your Christmas shopping

A group of Western Illinois University students want to make your Christmas shopping a bit easier this year.

You don't even have to leave the house.

Residents in the Macomb area who have a hard time getting around or may simply be too busy to shop just need to make a list. The Western Elves will pick up your Christmas list along with the money needed to buy them. They'll make the purchases and even wrap the gifts at no cost.

Alex Johnson got the idea of a community service project from his management professor on campus.

"There's Angel Trees and food drives and stuff and I wanted to think of something new and benefit the people that weren't already being helped," Johnson said.

You can call on the Western Elves from now until Dec. 13. Contact Johnson at westernelves@gmail.com.
