Last days of summer spent at Indian Mounds

With just a couple days before the school year begins, we wanted to know how kids are enjoying their last days of summer vacation. We found many kids spending the final days at the Indian Mounds pool in Quincy Monday. With the clock ticking down to summers end, we found the kids just wanted to get outside and make the most of it.

"I'm going to Six Flags!" said Brandon Zwick, who's getting ready to go back to school at Baldwin. "There, you can do whatever you want without the teachers yelling at you."

Myles Parrish and his pool friends have come to the pool every day and like just hanging out with each other.

"I like swimming mostly and skateboarding and hanging out with my friends," said Jett Shelton.

"I love going down the water slides," said Nathan Morriss. "I'm going to travel to California to see my mom next."

"Me and my brother went ice skating, saw skateboarders and played glow in the dark put put golf. I'm going to Six Flags! Going to the waterpark and riding all the rides," said Emily Zwick.

Most swimmers said they'll miss the pool most of all once school starts.
