The Department of Natural Resources was called to the scene of a Knox County crash after liquid manure spilled into a ditch.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 18-year-old Eric Burkholder was driving northbound on Route C Monday when he lost control of his truck while rounding a curve.

His truck trailering a cargo tank filled with liquid manure ran off the right side of the road and overturned.

The liquid manure spilled into a ditch, but was contained in that area.

Burkholder was air evacuated to University Hospital in Columbia with moderate injuries.
