Keynote Speaker to address robotic technology in manufacturing at JWCC.

Tri-State residents now have an opportunity to learn about emerging robotic technologies in manufacturing.

John Wood Community College will host the first Tri-State Manufacturing conference Wednesday afternoon.

Keynote Speaker John McElligott is Founder and Chief Executive of York Exponential.

He develops learning technology and artificial intelligence to help manufacturers in daily operations.

"What I'm really hoping to do is not make everyone an expert, but just make them aware. And in some ways shock them into understanding the world is changing very quickly and it's not waiting for any of us. But if we do embrace this, it's an incredible opportunity for communities just like this, that haven't maybe necessarily invested in older technology, but can make that fresh start as they embrace the fourth industrial revolution," said McElligott.

The conference will take place Wednesday March 15 at John Wood's Heath Center from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Entrance costs $45.

Attendees will have the opportunity to network and take part in small group discussions.
