Keokuk teacher dismissed from sex-abuse suit; district, principal remain

Former Keokuk High School teacher and coach is no longer a party to a lawsuit that accused her of sexual abuse.

The dismissal filed Tuesday in Lee County court says that Gina Sisk is no longer a defendant in the case filed last year.

The lawsuit against the school district and former Keokuk High School principal Michelle Lukuvusky will continue, according to the paperwork.

A former Keokuk student filed the lawsuit claiming she was sexually abused for about two years beginning in 2009. Sisk also served as track coach.
