Keokuk man charged with seven counts of arson

The 20 year old Keokuk man arrested earlier this year in connection to an arson fire at the County Market grocery store in Keokuk is now facing seven counts of arson.

Keokuk Police Chief Tom Crew says Travis Thrush is charged with setting fires at several locations in Keokuk including the First Baptist Church and the Bethany Baptist Church.

The arson fires began back in May of 2008 and continued through January of 2009.

Thrush is now in the Lee County jail on a bond of $152,000.

He faces one count of first degree arson and six counts of second degree arson.
