Keokuk man arrested on felony, misdemeanor drug charges
Alex Joseph Derr of Keokuk was arrested on Friday and is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine Less Than Five Grams with the Intent to Deliver Within 1,000 Feet of a Park, a class C felony with an enhancement, Possession of Methamphetamine, a serious misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.
Derr was also arrested on two probation violation warrants.
The 30-year-old's arrest stems from an investigation by the Keokuk Police Department into multiple 911 calls.
Derr was encountered during this investigation and was arrested on active warrants.
During the arrest, items that support the charges were discovered.
Derr faces up to 16 years and 30 days in a state correctional facility, if convicted.
