KEOKUK, Iowa - A man accused of starting a series of fires in Keokuk will stand trial on federal arson charges this summer.
A July 6 trial in U.S. District Court in Davenport was set on Wednesday for Travis Thrush, of Keokuk. He pleaded not guilty to three counts of arson during an arraignment.
Thrush is accused of starting fires at a church and two businesses.
Thrush also faced state arson charges in the series of fires from May 2008 to January. Those charges were dismissed after the federal charges were filed.
