And the winner of the 2013 Chevy Spark is ... Patty Hudnall from Canton, Mo.!
We would like to congratulate Patty and commend her for taking the pledge to
Just Let It Ring
Seventy-seven semi-finalists were chosen from the thousands of people in the Tri-States who took the pledge to Just Let It Ring.
On Friday in the KHQA News at Six, Carol Sowers went live from Shottenkirk Chevy of Quincy where Patty was chosen from the seven finalists ... she had the only key that would start Shottenkirk Chevy's Chevrolet Spark.
KHQA's Just Let It Ring campaign is much more than a car giveaway. It is about our community, our safety and the awareness that texting and driving is a growing problem among Americans today.
Did you know that texting while driving increases your chances of getting into an accident by 23 times?
KHQA and our sponsoring partners, Shottenkirk Chevy, Sunset Home and Hannibal-LaGrange University, want you to be aware of the risks associated with texting while driving and other types of distracted driving.
Research shows that almost 82% of Americans own a cell phone. The key to your safety, and the safety of everyone else on the road, is to make sure you use your cell phone responsibly.
We encourage you to join our campaign and take the pledge to Just Let It Ring right now.
