Judge orders info sealed in teacher sex abuse lawsuit

A judge in South Lee County determined that certain information will remain out of the public view in the case of a Keokuk teacher accused of having sex with one of her students.

The order issued Monday says that information about former Keokuk High School teacher and coach Gina Sisk will remain confidential as the case proceeds. That information includes employment records, financial information and medical records.

A former student named only as Jane Doe II says she had sex with Sisk numerous times. Sisk is the subject of a similar lawsuit in her former school district.

The suit also names Keokuk High District and high school principal Michelle Lukavsky as defendants.

The next court hearing is scheduled for Aug. 12.
