Inspectors will be checking the condition of the Champ Clark Bridge in Louisiana, Missouri later this month.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane beginning Monday, August 25.
MoDOT crews will be performing routine maintenance and inspection work through Thursday, September 4.
However, during the Labor Day weekend, the bridge will be open to traffic in both directions.
Temporary traffic signals will be installed to guide motorists on both sides of the bridge and a nine foot width restriction will be in place.
The work may be delayed or rescheduled if there is bad weather.
