Illinois lawmakers drive home the need for cell phone ban

A proposal to ban the use of cellphones while driving in Illinois is headed to Gov. Pat Quinn's desk.

Both houses of the Illinois General Assembly approved legislation which would require drivers to use hands-free devices or speakerphone features on their cell phones or face a ticket.

It's already illegal to text while driving or talk on your cell phone in school or construction zones.

Quinn says he'll review the bill when he receives it.
