It's always a good time to take a minute to consider safe driving. With Memorial Day weekend upon us, more drivers will be filling the roads.
Memorial Day marks the beginning for many summer recreational activities.
This means more drivers on the roadways heading to celebrations.
Last year, in the state of Missouri, sixty four percent of people killed in accidents were not wearing their seat belt.
Missouri State Patrolman says remember to buckle up and drive safe.
"We do know there is going to be a lot of people out there traveling on our roadways in both Missouri and Illinois. We certainly want people to drive cautiously and make sure that they recognize that there is going to be extra people out traveling," Missouri State Patrolman Brent Bernhardt said.
Sgt. Brent Bernhardt says the Missouri Highway Patrol will be out on the road this weekend to make sure everyone is following the law.
