Hull man accused of lying to police back in court

Christopher Chapman, 19

A Hull, Illinois man arrested on obstructing justice charges in connection to a Quincy stabbing pleaded guilty in court Wednesday.

Christopher Chapman, 19, was taken into custody in May after police say he lied about the where abouts of a stabbing suspect.

Police were called to a Quincy Housing Authority apartment complex May 20.

When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a man stabbed.

Officers also found Chapman, inside the residence.

Police say Chapman told them that the suspect, later identified as Lacinda White fled the scene.

After reviewing video surveillance, police say White was actually hiding in an upstairs bedroom.

White is charged with aggravated battery with a dangerous weapon.

Chapman will be sentenced on October 20.
