      Hit-and-run becomes jump-and-falls

Bike accident on Quincy Mall parking lot.

UPDATED: January 26 at 7:11 p.m. A 19-year-old man who made an unsuccessful attempt to jump a snow bank with his bike had to be hauled away in an ambulance Thursday afternoon.

The Quincy Police Department first got a report of a hit-and-run crash just before 2:30 p.m. near McDonald's at 3201 Broadway.

      But that report was unfounded.

Jason Keller and his friend saw the accident.

Keller said, "He was gonna try to jump it, and he got scared and hit the brakes and face planted."

Keller told KHQA the man had injuries to his face, but was talking with his friends and emergency personnel right after the accident.
