A Historic Hannibal home is being preserved and Hannibal High School students are learning the historic trade at the same time. It's all part of the Preservation Trades Program at Hannibal High School, giving students hands-on preservation skills.
Kip Robinson the Historic Preservation teacher along with Bob Yapp, one of the country's top preservation educators are overseeing the project.
The historic home should be completely restored in a couple of years and all 24 students will be there when it's finished.
Yapp has preserved 162 homes in the last 35 years from the ground up, and says these students will have a bright future when they complete the trade.
In addition to all his preservation work, Yapp had his own TV show on PBS called "About Your House with Bob Yapp".
