Hannibal residents shave their heads to help fight cancer

A fresh buzz cut could help find a cure for cancer.

The Powder Room in Hannibal teamed up with Saint Baldrick's Foundation today by hosting a head shaving fundraiser.

Around ten people received a new bald and beautiful look from the Powder Room stylists.

The event was held at Kerley's Pub and Grill in Hannibal.

In order to participate, you had to collect donations for cancer research.

They shaved their heads to show compassion for children who lose their hair during cancer treatments.

A handful of the participants even donated their hair to make wigs.

Funds were raised through donations for the head shaving and a silent auction.

Around ten thousand dollars were raised.
