UPDATE: Hannibal Police arrest second man in shooting incident

Myron S. Mahaney, 18 of Hannibal, Missouri, has been arrested and charged with Assault in the First Degree and Armed Criminal Action in connection with the shooting incident in Hannibal mentioned below.

If convicted, Mahaney faces up to 30 years or life imprisonment for assault and up to an unlimited term of years on the armed criminal action.

Tion Dorsey, 28 of Mexico, Missouri, has been arrested and charged with Assault in the First Degree and Armed Criminal Action in connection with the shooting incident in Hannibal mentioned below.

He is currently detained in the Marion County Jail. If convicted, Dorsey faces up to 30 years or life imprisonment for assault and up to an unlimited term of years on the armed criminal action.

According to Hannibal Police Department 18 year old Myron S. Mahaney of Hannibal is still at large and is being sought by Hannibal Police Department officers.

Although Mahaney should be considered armed and dangerous, the Hannibal Police Department wants assure the public, Wednesdays shooting was an isolated incident between subjects who have been involved in an on-going dispute.

This incident remains under investigation and more arrests may be pending.

Hannibal Police are currently investigating a reported shooting Wednesday night around 8:30 p.m.

This happened in the 2600 block of St. Marys Avenue near St. Elizabeth Hospital.

According to Lt. John Zerbonia, when officers arrived on scene they learned shots had been fired at a residence from a vehicle occupied by several subjects. The vehicle then fled the scene.

Zerbonia stated in a report a subject at the residence suffered a gunshot wound to the arm and was treated on scene by Marion County EMS.

Zerbonia said the suspect vehicle was located and stopped a short time later. Inside were four subjects. That group includes three adults and one juvenile. All were taken into custody.

This incident remains under investigation and more information will be released at a later time.
