One of two men charged in the murder of an Hannibal Abel's gas station clerk pleaded not guilty Monday to second-degree murder charges.
Michael Studer, 30, entered the plea Monday morning.
He and Gary Wiltermood, 22, are charged with second-degree murder in the Oct. 8 shooting death of 61-year-old Adrienne Arnett.
Studer is accused of shooting Arnett during the 3 a.m. robbery at the Abel's Shell Station at 100 Shinn Lane. In a lengthy statement given to police, Wiltermood told Hannibal police investigators that he drove Studer to the gas station and participated in the robbery.
Studer is due back in court Nov. 18. Wiltermood has a hearing scheduled the same day.
