Hannibal man arrested following robbery report
On Monday evening, a Hannibal man came to the Hannibal Police Department to report being robbed by a male with a knife.
The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim.
The victim gave a description of the male and the last known location of the suspect, which was the Oakwood area.
At 11:44 p.m. officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Singleton in reference to a suspicious male matching the description of the robbery suspect.
Officers located the suspect and he was taken into custody without incident. The victim was not injured during the incident.
A warrant was issued for Joshua L Watkins, 34 of Hannibal, on Tuesday charging him with Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Watkins' bond was set at $5,000 cash or surety. He remains lodged in the Marion County Jail.
