Hannibal family without a home after house fire
A mother and her two kids are now without a home after an early morning fire caused significant damage to their home at 1134 Ely Street in Hannibal on Monday.
According to Hannibal Fire Department's Assistant Fire Chief Charles Paxton, the fire started in the front of the house and the porch was fully engulfed by the time emergency crews responded.
A child smelled smoke and managed to get everyone out of the home.
No injuries have been reported.
The Missouri State Fire Marshall and Hannibal investigators are now working to figure out the cause.
KHQA is told a 3rd child lives with the family, but was not home at the time.
