Hannibal boys go missing 50 years ago

File photo.

Fifty years ago today, three Hannibal boys went missing while exploring caves on the city's southside.

Eleven year old Billy Hoag, 13 year old Joey Hoag and 14 year old Craig Dowell have not been seen since the trio vanished in the Murphy's Cave complex.

There is a memorial at the top of Hannibal's Lover's Leap that keep the memory of the boys alive.
