Just Between Friends is a relatively new business that bills itself as the nation's leading children's and maternity consignment sales event franchise. Its first sale is coming to Hannibal April 26-28 at the National Guard Armory on Highway 61 South. Hannibal is one of only four â??rural metroâ?? JBF franchises in the United States. Michelle Wiginton is coordinating this first spring sale. â??We have many Hannibal/Quincy area moms who travel to our other JBF events to participate that it just made sense to bring Just Between Friends to them,â?? said Wiginton. The consignment is sale is selective and targeted to a specific audience. Its purpose is to resell gently-used children's and maternity clothing, toys and baby equipment. All items are inspected for quality. Moms who wish to sell can bring their items to the Armory, cleaned, tagged and ready to sell. Volunteers will help set up shop in exchange for reduced prices. The franchise owners came up with the concept 14 years ago as a way to make some money on the side and save some money on kid's clothes. Now 365,000 people shop at JBF's consignment sales every year.
