"Started off with hot dogs that was my main thing," owner of Hot Dogs R Us Gary Kaufman said.
He began serving customers in Quincy by way of a mobile cart.
"Somebody wanted it worse than I did, so they stole it from me. So, that's why I ended up with this trailer," Kaufman explained.
For the last three years, Kaufman has set up his one man shop at the intersection of 25th and Broadway.
"I got Philly chicken, hot dogs, brats, Italian roast beef and chicken salad wraps," Kaufman said.
The best sellers ... "Hot dogs and chili dogs."
On fair weather Wednesdays and Saturdays you can swing by Kaufman's hot dog stand.
"Right now, I'm carrying over 35 different toppings for different sandwiches," Kaufman said.
And if you're a night owl, you may see him set up outside the Phoenix Night Club.
"There's a lot of people coming out of the Phoenix Night Club and other clubs in the area that come down and need something to eat before they go home. It helps sober them up a bit, get something in their belly," Kaufman said.
Kaufman says he puts in long days to keep his business up and running, but says it's fun being his own boss.
