A former Pike County sheriff candidate who faces felony charges is headed to a new courthouse Wednesday morning for a plea hearing.
Grover Lynn Turner Jr., 40, of Louisiana is accused of assault, property damage and making a false report.
Authorities say 40-year-old Turner caused more than $6,700 in damage after he rammed his pickup truck into another car.
He also allegedly lied to police about his truck's location.
The hearing will be in Montgomery County, where the case was moved from Pike.
Turner was a candidate for Pike County sheriff last year, but lost the November election.
