Former drug-court head gets federal trial date

The former Adams County probation officer and head of the county's drug court is scheduled for an August trial.

John Grotts, 59, of Ursa faces up to 20 years in federal prison is convicted in the August 26 arrested related to a methamphetamine investigation.

Grotts is accused of possession meth making materials and marijuana at his home in the 200 block of Walker in Ursa.

A woman who lived at the home with Grotts is also charged in the case.

Grotts' trial is scheduled for August 6. A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for July 16.
