At least three fire companies responded to a fire at a mobile home community near 36th and Maine Streets.
The fire started shortly before 11 a.m. Wednesday at 3632 Tonja Drive in Quincy.
Quincy Fire Chief Joe Henning says they believe a portable heating device may have started the fire. Chief Henning said that the device was being used to thaw pipes below the mobile home.
Smoke and flames were visible from several blocks away.
The American Red Cross assisted the trailer's 53-year-old resident.
The organization is seeking donations of food, clothing and medical needs.
The man wears size 17 shirts, 38-inch waist and 31-inch length pants and size 12 shoes.
