      Fill-the-Boot for Baby Ella

Quincy firefighters collect donations for Baby Ella's recovery expenses.

Quincy firefighters were outside of Walmart Saturday continuing to show their support for Baby Ella.

The firefighters were collecting donations for her with their Fill-the-Boot fundraiser.

The fire department was approached with the idea by the Cathedral of Worship.

The church will present the money raised to Baby Ella and her family at a ceremony on May 9th.

On Jan. 3, Ella Cain suffered major burns over more than half of her body in a house fire.

She recently returned home after recovering for three months at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Ill.

"Well I'm afraid her on going needs are going to be on going for a long time," said Mark Bichsel, from the Quincy Fire Department. "So anything we can do to help is going to be greatly appreciate by her and her family."

If you missed the fundraiser at Walmart but are still interested in making a donation to Baby Ella you can contact the Cathedral of Worship here.
