FBI warns of phone scam

Here's a KHQA Safe Family Alert about a phone scam making its way around Central and Southern Illinois.
Here's the way it works, you get a phone call from a private number, and an automated recording claiming to be your bank tells you your debit card account has been breached.
It then says to fix the situation, press one.
From there, it asks for your card number, expiration date, and PIN.
If you fall victim to it, criminals just got everything they need to empty your bank account.
The FBI reminds you to NEVER give out your personal banking information over the phone.
It also says banks do not use automated systems to ask for customer information.
If you think you've been contacted about this or unknowingly took part in the scam, you should call your bank as soon as possible.
