Father sentenced after pleading guilty to killing son

A Missouri man accused in the shooting death of his 22-year-old son is now headed to prison.

Michael Lee Phillips is sentenced to seven years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.

He plead guilty to shooting Jeff Chisholm last week.

The incident happened last August near U.S. 61 between New London and Bowling Green.

Officials say Chisholm had been fighting with his father and other family members who were traveling as part of a weekend getaway.
