      Familiar face returning to QPS

A familiar face will be returning to the Quincy Public School District, this time in a different role.

Last night, the Quincy School Board hired Carol Frericks as a school administrator.

She'll serve as the secondary education academic director for grades 7 through 12.

Frericks will be paid $114,000 dollars.

She returns to Quincy after serving as superintendent of the Western School District.

Frericks previously worked in the Quincy school district for many years.

She had served as a principal at Irving School, then as literacy coordinator until her position was eliminated in the spring of 2009 because of budget cuts.
