Election erupts on KHQA social media

Brooke Hasch tweeted a photo of teary-eyed Laura Kent Donahue giving concession speech to crowd of Republican supporters.

As we saw throughout the last year of campaigning, social media played a big role in the 2012 elections.

It was a huge night for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram in the Tri-States.

It seems like everyone was online while watching, but our news team took it one step further and we were live at all the local headquarters.

KHQA's Brooke Hasch tweeted a photo of teary-eyed Laura Kent Donahue giving concession speech to crowd of Republican supporters.

You can look at more candid election photos like that one on Twitter ... just look up the hashtag #KHQAelection.

It was also a huge night for Facebook. KHQA's page saw more than eleven hundred comments.

One video that got your comments was a video of a Quincy 9-year-old that had been waiting for the election for four years, check it out here or click on the video above.

Although this election is over, we still want your participation on social media. Follow us on twitter as @KHQA and of course on Facebook here. We look forward to seeing your tweets, pictures and comments.
