Quincy man arrested following early morning shooting

Kenneth S. Horner, 38, of Quincy faces charges for Reckless Discharge of a Firearm and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

Quincy police have arrested a man in connection to an early morning shooting at 200 Maine Street.

An investigation has led to the arrest of Kenneth S. Horner, 38, of Quincy.

He faces charges for Reckless Discharge of a Firearm and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

According to a news release from the Quincy Police Department, information gained during the investigation suggests that this shooting was an accidental, self inflicted gunshot wound.

A firearm was recovered.

No additional injuries have been reported.

Horner was taken to the Adams County Jail.

Quincy police are investigating a shooting that happened early Wednesday morning.

Just before 5 a.m., officers were called to the Welcome Inn at 200 Maine Street for the report of a shooting.

Quincy Police tell KHQA a man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to his leg and finger.

At this time, no one is in custody.
