The Douglas County, Illinois Sheriff’s office confirms one fatality in a multiple vehicle crash about 2 miles east of Tuscola on Route 36.

That's according to KHQA's sister station WICS.

The crash happened shortly before 5 p.m. and was caused by dust blowing throughout central Illinois.

Route 36 was closed in that area.

Illinois State Police also closed entrance ramps onto Interstate 72 in that area.
