The Hannibal Police Department received a tip Tuesday about possible drug activity in a home in the 1000 block of Ely Street.
After narcotics officers got consent to search the location, they found approximately four pounds of what is believed to be marijuana, several controlled prescription pills, drug paraphernalia, items commonly used in the distribution of a controlled substance and a large amount of cash.
Officers arrested 41-year-old Shawn L. Otten, of Hannibal, and he was charged with distribution of a controlled substance.
Otten was placed on a 24-hour hold in the Marion County Jail and then on Wednesday the 10th Judicial Circuit Court issued a warrant for Otten. He was charged with distribution of a controlled substance, a class B felony and bond was set at $100,000.00.
Otten is lodged in the Marion County Jail.
