U.S. Rep. Aaron Schock, R-Peoria, toured Western Illinois levee districts Sunday to see who needs a helping hand.
Schock visited Beardstown, Meredosia, and the Sny Levee.
His final stop was in Quincy where he met with city officials at Gardner Denver. He applauded the preventative measures taken saying that Quincy is in good shape due to preparation after the flood of 1993.
"They executed the flood plan, Their plant has been saved, so I think it goes to they deserved credit for being well prepared and executing the plan well," Schock said.
