Conceal and carry instructor charged with felonies for faked documents

An instructor for conceal and carry weapons classes in northeast Missouri has been charged with falsely signing documents saying that a number of his students had passed the course.

Our sister station KTVO in Kirksville, Missouri reports that Levi Hillard, 31, of Macon, is charged with three counts of felony forgery for signing the false documents.

According to court documents in Audrain County, Hillard is also charged with three counts of being a training instructor providing false information regarding the performance of an applicant in a concealed weapon training program.

The charges are for incidents that allegedly happened in Audrain and Monroe County in Missouri, the court papers said.

Hillard is currently free on $60,000 bond and he is scheduled for initial arraignment on May 28 in Audrain County Associate Circuit Court.
