The new exploratory committee created to to better assess the long-term outlook of the Adams County Jail has another meeting Friday.
The five-member group was formed earlier this month to look at whether or not the jail needs an upgrade or new building altogether.
A new jail would cost anywhere from $20 to $25 million.
The failed escape of three inmates in July was motivation to create the committee.
The meeting starts at 3 p.m. at the Quincy Board of Education.
