The Quincy City Council is hoping to avoid any more confusion with the city's fix or flatten program.
Council members amended the unsafe property ordinance to require that a list of fix-or-flatten properties and estimated costs come to the council early in the fiscal year.
You'll recall the program was pulled earlier this year after council members didn't follow through with a court order to fix up the former paper box building.
The building had fallen into disrepair and had become a safety hazard. Since then the program has been reinstated.

Monday night aldermen also cleared the way for a $370 thousand dollar federal grant to buy electric generators at the city's water plant and wastewater treatment plant.
