The Quincy Police Department plans to be out in full force this weekend.
It is taking part in the statewide Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over/Click It or Ticket crackdown.
Officers plan to conduct special patrols during this St. Patrick's Day holiday period to curtail impaired drivers and late-night safety belt law violators.
Quincy police are increasing traffic patrols now through March 17 to catch and arrest anyone who is driving while impaired or unbuckled.
The Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over/Click It or Ticket crackdown is made possible through federal traffic safety funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation, Division of Traffic Safety.
