Republican candidates running for governor are spending the last day before the primary election traveling around Illinois.
Businessman Bruce Rauner stopped at a Chicago restaurant early Monday to meet with commuters and ask them to vote in Tuesday's election.
As he continued a three-day statewide tour, Rauner says he wants to "rip the corruption out of Springfield."
Meanwhile, State Sen. Kirk Dillard plans to be in East Alton, Marion, Champaign and suburban Chicago. State Sen. Bill Brady's schedule includes stops in Springfield, Peoria, Urbana, Marion and Chicago.
Illinois Treasurer Dan Rutherford doesn't have a public campaign schedule. His spokesman has said he's focused on making phone calls.
Democrat Tio Hardiman who's running against Gov. Pat Quinn is visiting universities in Peoria, Champaign and Bloomington.
