Bushnell man arrested on child endangerment charges headed to court

Travis Hammond, 37

A pre-trial hearing was delayed for a Bushnell man arrested after his one-year-old child was taken to the McDonough District Hospital with serious head injuries.

Travis Hammond, 37, was arrested in January on battery and endangerment charges stemming from the infant's injuries.

Hammond appeared in court Tuesday with his attorney, but the hearing was postponed until May 27.

Hammond pleaded not guilty to aggravated battery and aggravated domestic battery charges.

He is currently lodged in the McDonough County Jail.
