Astoria, IL man arrested after McDonough officials located abandoned car

Joshua A. Easley of Astoria, Illinois was arrested on Wednesday by the McDonough County Sheriff's Office.

A search warrant was issued after detectives were assisting the Macomb Police Department looking for a stolen car and stolen firearms.

On May 10th, detectives located a vehicle just west of Tennessee, Illinois that appeared to be left abandoned.

The vehicle was searched and suspected methamphetamine, digital scales, packaging material, suspected cannabis, and methamphetamine and cannabis paraphernalia were located.

Easley arrived on scene while detectives were awaiting a tow truck and stated the vehicle belonged to him.

Easley was arrested on May 17th on a warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine (ICE) with Intent to Deliver and Possession of Methamphetamine.

He posted $1,000 bond and was released.
