Arts Faire spin-off goes to the dogs

Local artists donated art and jewelry.

A spinoff of this weekend's

Mid-Summer Arts Faire

is going to the dogs this Friday.

Volunteers have organized a wine and art sale, which will benefit for the

Quincy Humane Society

It will take place Friday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at District Designs and Kristopher's on Maine Street.

Local artists donated art and jewelry.

The event will offer free wine along with food donated by County Market.

"It's a fun evening," Quincy Humane Society Executive Director Sally Westerhoff said. "It's something different than what we usually do for our fund-raising events. It has a special flair."

Second String Music donated a hand-painted guitar, which will be auctioned off at 6 p.m.
