      Arrest in Hancock County carjacking

      Steven A. Bell is accused of holding a driver at gunpoint and forcing the driver to take him to Burlington on September 6.

      A man wanted for numerous crimes, including a car hijacking in Hancock County last weekend, was arrested Wednesday in Burlington, Iowa.

      Steven A. Bell, 24, was taken to the Des Moines County Jail after he was arrested by the Burlington Police Department.

      Hancock County Sheriff Scott Bentzinger said Bell was wanted for aggravated vehicular hijacking, vehicular invasion, and aggravated unlawful restraint.

      Bell is accused of holding a driver at gunpoint and forcing the driver to take him to Burlington on September 6.

      Bell also had two outstanding warrants in the state of Iowa for theft and criminal mischief.

      He will soon be extradited to Hancock County.
