A Springfield man is headed to prison after stealing from a major retailer.
Leonski Higgins,34, was sentenced to two and half years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for his role in a July, Best Buy theft.
Police were called to the Quincy Best Buy after witnesses spotted several shoplifters stealing electronic items.
Illinois State Police officials tracked the suspect vehicle and stopped it on I-72 near Pittsfield.
There police found a number of electronic items, which were recovered from the suspect vehicle.
Police arrested four Springfield women along with Higgins.
Higgins was accused of waiting in the car during the theft.
