The event included traditional Native American tribal dances and food like fire bread. It also included trading booths with custom Native American hand crafted items.
The winter gathering has been held for the past eight years.
Organizers hope those that attended the event left with more than just an entertaining day. The main goal of the winter gathering is to give people an inside look on the American Indian culture.
"That it's the importance of the traditional values and ways of the American Indian history and just really respect for your elders and just the family, it's really important," said Tawnya Jones, a member of the Standing Bear Council.
The Standing Bear Council is already looking forward to planning next years Winter Gathering.
At its next meeting in two weeks it'll start discussing details for next year.
