The Adams County First Responders received a well-deserved gift Wednesday night.
The Adams County Lions Club donated a $4,125 check to the organization at a dinner in Paloma. The money comes from concession proceeds at the Adams County Fair. The Lions Club runs the concession tents and donated a portion of this year's sales.
President of the Adams County First Responders Rodney Voss accepted the check.
"The Lions Club has sponsored and helped us over the last few years. We're an organization that doesn't receive any money. We're all volunteers who go out on runs and assist the ambulance or assist the public with EMS calls," he said.
This is the second year the Lions Club has selected one project or organization to receive a donation.
Voss says the money will go towards everyday supplies and will help with further education of his staff.
